I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
